Ameriquest Credit Card Review
While doing some research to find a topic that would interest my
readers, I noticed that many people were searching for Ameriquest
credit card information. In order to produce this article I tried
searching myself. At first glance the Ameriquest Mortgage Company
website gave no indication that their company offered credit cards.
I decided to give Ameriquest a call to find out whether or not they
offered credit cards. About midway down the contact us page there
was a website address and telephone number for people who had
questions relating to the Ameriquest Platinum MasterCard. On
clicking the link for the relevant website, I landed on a page that
requested my user name and password in order to access a secure
account management system. This was of no use.
I returned to Google and did some more research using the term
‘Ameriquest Platinum MasterCard’, this time there was more success.
This is what I found.
The Ameriquest MasterCard application website was powered by HSBC.
The terms and conditions of the credit card offer stated the ‘we’
and ‘us’ refers to HSBC Nevada, so there is some affiliation between
these two companies. HSBC it seems provides the administrative and
processing services for the Ameriquest credit card.
The following are the features of the Ameriquest Platinum
MasterCard:
The Ameriquest credit card offers a 0% Fixed APR for 5 months on
purchases, followed by 12.99% or 17.99% variable.
There is no annual fee, but if you decide to transfer a balance to
this card, a 3% fee would apply. Other fees include $29 each time
you withdraw cash from your credit account and $39 whenever you make
a late payment or exceed your credit limit.
With the Ameriquest credit card you can earn rewards on purchases
and balance transfers. You can also redeem your Ameriquest Rewards
for rebates on your next loan from Ameriquest. You cannot use your
rewards to pay off your credit card balance or to offset mortgage
closing fees.
There isn’t much you can do with your Ameriquest rewards and the
introductory period for the 0% APR is one of the lowest in the
industry.
There is nothing that stands out about this card, it is average and
there are certainly many other rewards credit cards that are
superior to the Ameriquest credit card in terms of the benefits they
provide.
If you are interested in transferring your credit card balance and
want to choose the best card, then I suggest you look around for
balance transfer credit cards with longer introductory periods.
There are even some cards that combine great rewards with longer 0%
balance transfer periods.
