Aspire Credit Card Review

I must say, in doing the research for this card there wasn’t much good information being reported about the Aspire credit card.  Online reviews were less than glowing and problems ranged from poor customer service to very high interest rates.

I don’t want to relay only the bad news, so I’ll tell you everything I found out about what Aspire offers.  I’ll include the good, bad and the ugly as well as what other users thought.  Once you have all the info, you can make up your mind and decide if the Aspire credit card is for you.

What’s On Offer?

The Aspire credit card is offered by VISA and can be accessed via the Aspire Website.  You need to know your user name and password in order to get in.  I have neither so I couldn’t tell you what the site entails.

I wanted to find out how to actually apply for the card so I continued searching. I found that the Aspire card is useful if you have bad credit and you want to repair it.  But still no info on how to apply for the card has been found so far, but stay tuned.

There are many secondary sites with information on the Aspire credit card but I want to get to the horse’s mouth if you know what I mean.   As much as I tried I could not find a website that offered detailed information on what the Aspire credit card is all about.

I did see many questions in various forums asking for the live customer service number for Aspire. It seems that the commonly used number which is at the back of the Aspire credit card and on the statement connects you to an automated service only.

Understandably people want to talk to people, especially when they have an urgent query.

In a bid to find out more about this card I even tried some of the numbers listed in the forums myself.  But before I could get anywhere, the automated service asked for the last four digits of my Aspire credit card account (which I don’t own) so this option did not help.

So far it is not looking good.

This is the bit you can call the ugly I suppose.  If you search Google there are so many complaints that it’s a wonder the company is still issuing cards.  Take a look for yourself at the following links:

Now please note these are opinions of other people and I can’t really vouch for the accuracy of the statements.  The way I look at, there must be a valid reason for all the negative comments about this card.

There are so many other card offers on the market that you should be spoilt for choice.  Take some time to search and compare credit cards for people with bad credit.

As for the Aspire, due to lack of transparency of information I would avoid this card.  In today’s market where information is so vital to decision making, I had to search too much for information on this card.  In the end all I could find was complaints and displeasure with the service.

That should be enough to ring warning bells for you.

Before making your final decision, have a look around, see what is out there, make sure you know exactly what you are applying for and that you can contact the company and speak to a live person if you need to.

So that in a nutshell is my opinion on the Aspire Credit Card.
