Bank One Credit Card Review

So, you’re searching for a Bank One credit card.  If you didn’t find any good results, then don’t worry, in this article I’ll go through all the offers this company provides.  But just so you know, if you try searching Credit Bank One credit card, your results would be a lot more fruitful.

Credit Bank One is the full name of the company that provides the card you are looking for.  However as the card is more commonly known as the Bank One credit card, I’ll stick with this name throughout this article.

So here we go.

What Can You Expect From The Bank One Credit Card?

There are five credit cards offered by Credit Bank One.  I wish I could tell you that they were all distinct and unique when it comes to the benefits, but that just would not be an accurate statement.  As you read on you’ll see what I mean.

Let’s look at each card in turn.  Firstly up for review is the …..

The Visa® Black Card

This card comes with an APR of 23.90% p.a.  A minimum credit line of $200 and an annual fee of $69 (billed at $5.75 per month).

Main Benefits

  • Automatic credit line increase reviews
  • Max credit lime up to $1,000
  • Full fraud protection
  • Extra buying power
  • Monthly updates to all major credit bureaus

Additional benefits

  • Travel Accident Insurance
  • Auto Rental Collision Damage Waiver

This card is ideal if you are trying to rebuild your credit history.

Another useful card for building your credit profile is the Bank One Visa® Platinum.

The main benefits of this card are identical to the Black card, infact it seems as if everything is the same including the rate and credit lines.  The only difference I could see is the color.

If you can spot any other major difference, you’d have to let me know.

Once you get pass the first two cards in the Bank One credit card range you enter the Extra Value-Added Features category.

Guess what, there is another Visa® Platinum card in this section which could be very confusing. Why couldn’t they name it something else?  Anyway the main difference this card offers is that it gives you a free online monthly credit score… that’s it.

Not much to shout about is it.

The Platinum MasterCard® is the next card in the Extra Value-Added Features range.  Sure enough, there is no difference in terms of the main benefits.  Where this card differs is in the additional benefits.

For your additional benefit you can look forward to:

  • Master RoadAssist® Service and
  • Extended Warranty Coverage

Again, the APR, annual fee, credit lines etc. are all the same.

The final Bank One credit card is the Pete Rose MasterCard®.

If you were hoping for a major difference in this card, then you’ll be disappointed. To be fair you do get a limited-edition card featuring Pete Rose on it.  In addition you have free 24-Hour online account access which has not been listed on any of the previous cards, so this is a plus.

That is the only difference with this card I’m afraid.

The Bank One credit card range is a bit disappointing when it comes to variety, but that does not mean that what they do offer is not good.

I recommend that you look around the market and see what other credit cards offers are available.
