Juniper Credit Card Review

In 2004, Barclays Bank bought the Juniper Bank and changed its name to Barclays Bank Delaware. If you are searching for Juniper credit cards you’ll still be able to find the relevant information using Juniper related search terms.

Depending on which Juniper credit card you are looking at however, the terms and conditions may state that the card is issued by Barclays Bank Delaware; this is the same company so there is no need for alarm.

The system Juniper uses to offer its credit cards are not unfamiliar. Juniper provides a lot of reward cards by partnering with different companies to offer you co-branded credit cards.

Most of the credit cards display the name of the Juniper partner as opposed to the brand name ‘Juniper’. Some of their partners are:

• AirTran Airways
• ATA Airlines
• Best Western
• Buckmasters
• Carnival Sea Miles
• Travelocitypany so there is no need for alarm.

• Century 21 Stores

The partnership allows you to benefit from competitive rates offered on Juniper credit cards while enjoying rewards from their named partners.

A good example of this partnership in action is the Juniper Visa Card with iTunes rewards. The credit card operates like any other and has benefits such as no annual fees and 90 days interest free purchases. The benefits become apparent when you see what you can get from iTunes. You earn iTunes rewards with every purchase, two iTunes points for every dollar you spend at any Apple store and one point everywhere else.

This approach is used with all the companies Juniper partners with. A full list of the partners can be found on their website. If the partners are not ones you currently use, you can search the market for other great  rewards credit cards; there are many different types of rewards that you can benefit from.

The interest rates and offers on Juniper credit cards differ from card to card but you can choose your card based on the type of rewards you value most. As an example, if you decide to apply for the Harvard Alumni Association card, you get a 0% rate on balance transfers and purchases for six months. After the sixth month, APRs start at 10.49%.

The Gulf gas card on the other hand offers 0% on balance transfers and convenience checks for six months and after this introductory period the APR starts at 16.24%.

What I like most about Juniper is the wealth of information provided on the website. You are given the full list of cards and what they offer so that you can compare deals. In addition there is a customer service tab that covers frequently asked questions ranging from credit card basics to credit score type questions and the contact number is clearly visible.

The website also provides secure login options to manage your Juniper credit card account.
