Old Navy Credit Card Review
Issued by GE Money Bank,
the Old Navy credit card is one of the most popular credit cards being searched
for on the internet. Most of the searchers questions relate to whether or not
this is a good credit card and where you can use it.
To apply for this credit
card you must be at least 18 years old. As long as you do not live in Maryland,
Wisconsin or Puerto Rico you can complete your application using the online
facility. For residents of the above mentioned places, you must submit a paper
application which can be found on the Old Navy website.
Interest Rate
The APR attached to the Old
Navy credit card is 21% on purchases, but if you do not pay your bill on time,
your APR becomes fixed at 23.90%.
Grace Period
As long as your previous
monthly balance was zero or you cleared your balance in full, you would enjoy a
26 day grace period. But if you have a balance on your account each month, then
no grace period is available. This seems a bit unfair as there are many other
cards that offer longer grace periods whether you had a balance on your last
statement or not.
Fees
- Late payment - $25
- Returned check - $20
- On the Old Navy credit
card website there was no information on whether they charged an annual fee or
not.
Rewards
When you spend more than
$50 at oldnavy.com, gap.com and bananarepublic.com, the items purchased are
shipped free of charge. In addition you can earn a $10 certificate for every
$200 spent at these online stores.
From time to time
oldnavy.com offers exclusive deals and you can visit the website to get updates
on the latest deals on offer. You also get a $5 voucher when you sign up to
receive e-mail communications from Old Navy.
Where To Shop
The Old Navy Credit card
can only be used within the Old Navy group at oldnavy.com, gap.com and
bananarepublic.com. This is understandable; after all it is on Old Navy Credit
Card.
There is nothing to scream
about with this credit card, if you are a die hard Old Navy shopper, this card
would be suitable to you but if you are interested in a rewards credit card with
universal usage, the Old Navy credit card may not be your best option.
