Union Plus Credit Card Review

One of the great benefits of the Union Plus credit card is the array of choice you receive. There are five cards for you to search and compare.

The individual card benefits are so varied that it could take a long time to discuss them all. So to save time, I would touch on the most relevant benefits that would assist you in making your final decision.

The first card we’d look at is the Union Plus Classic Card.

When you apply for this card you can look forward to the following benefits:

  • Triple plus value which includes no annual fee, discounts and exclusive member rates and benefits
  • Fraud protection with triple plus protection, strike skip payment protection, union review services and an extended warranty
  • Enjoy live customer service help, 24 hour personal assistance and merchant dispute services. All this is part of the Triple plus service.

The next card in the range is the Union Plus Platinum Card.

Not only do you enjoy all the benefits of the Union Plus Classic card, you can look forward to additional treats such as:

  • A minimum credit limit of $5000
  • Price protection. If you are able to find a cheaper rate in 60 days, Union plus will refund you the difference
  • When you make a purchase, the first 90 days are insured against theft and damage
  • On application, if you qualify, you would automatically be offered a platinum upgrade

The Union Plus Secured Credit Card is the third card on the list.

Like most secured cards, you’ll need to deposit funds into an account and your credit limit would be linked to the amount you deposit.

With the secured Union Plus credit card, you can deposit between $250 and $5000.

This card is useful in helping you rebuild your credit history and offers the following benefits:

  • No application fee to worry about
  • Your activity is reported to the credit bureaus
  • The annual fee is not a bank breaker
  • After 18 months of good conduct you can apply to trade up to an unsecured credit card

We are almost to the end of the Union Plus credit card offering. The second to last card is the

Union Plus Travel Corporate Card.

This is a card made specifically for union leaders and I must say the benefits are quite

good. If you are lucky enough to qualify for the travel corporate card you would enjoy:

  • No annual fees
  • Automatic travel insurance worth up to $250,000
  • Baggage reimbursement insurance
  • Access to customer service across the globe
  • Five comprehensive management reports for assessing your business

There are no fees or rate details on the website for this card; it seems to be so exclusive that to apply you must call the dedicated number (1-888-428-6466) for an application.

The final card to look at is the Union Plus Rewards Card.

This card is designed for union members and their families. It works pretty much like any other reward card. The benefits specific to this card are as follows:

  • Enjoy 2000 bonus points just for making your first purchase
  • For every $1 you spend, you will earn 1 point
  • If you shop at gas stations, grocery stores or drug stores you’ll earn 2 points for every $1
  • Online account management to keep track of how much you spent and how much you’ve earned

Redeeming is easy. You can redeem for travel, gift cards or for cash, whichever suits you best.

Your points are accepted at many retailers such as:

  • Best Buy
  • Lowes
  • American Airlines
  • Macy's
  • Red Lobster
  • Sears and More

So we have made it to the end. If you still want to shop around some more, then search and compare other credit card offers on the market. Whichever you choose in the end, make sure it is the right card for your circumstances.
